Step into Parisier, a hidden gem located at 68 Honmachi in the heart of Himeji, Hyogo. This cozy cafe offers a delightful escape from the hustle and bustle, making it a perfect stop for both locals and travelers. With its warm atmosphere and inviting decor, Parisier seamlessly blends traditional Japanese charm with the comfort of a beloved neighborhood cafe.

The true star at Parisier is its morning formula, where you can indulge in a delightful breakfast experience. For an incredibly reasonable price (around ¥400), patrons enjoy a hearty morning set that includes freshly toasted bread, a perfectly boiled egg, a crisp salad, and a cup of their rich coffee or a comforting warm shiso ume tea. The delicious aroma of freshly brewed coffee wafts through the air, welcoming you the moment you step inside.

Customers rave about the food. One visitor, Céline Neyens, describes her experience as lovely, particularly enjoying the complimentary toast and the quality of the cafe's coffee. The personal touch of the friendly staff, exemplified by one customer’s fond memory of the welcoming owner, creates a warm ambiance that's often hard to find in more touristy spots. Another frequent visitor, Jade Zischke, praised the caring assistance of the staff, who gracefully handled her subpar Japanese with kindness.

Transport yourself to a relaxed state as you sip on cafe au lait while savoring the perfect balance of flavors in your breakfast set. According to returning guest Emily Long, the toast is nothing short of delicious, and the cafe's atmosphere is enhanced by the friendly and helpful staff.

While some reviews mention that the cafe allows smoking, the warm interactions amongst patrons and the overall comforting vibe more than make up for it. Even though Marcus Tan stumbled upon Parisier by chance, he found that it serves as a true reflection of homely Japanese cafe culture, allowing visitors to enjoy authentic cuisine in a less tourist-heavy area.

Whether you're starting your day or needing a cozy coffee break post-visit to the majestic Himeji Castle, Parisier is the place to be. This charming cafe not only serves great food but builds community through warmth, kindness, and a shared love for good coffee. Come for the food, and stay for the homey atmosphere that makes you feel instantly welcomed.

Absolutely loved that place. Their morning formula with a small breakfast for free when taking a drink is great! Truly a gem in Himeji !

The owner welcomed us into his cozy cafe. We enjoyed very good coffee which came with complimentary toast, egg and salad. It was lovely! Definitely come here for a coffee after your visit to the castle.

We were supposed to visit Hamamoto Coffee to have our breakfast fix in Himeji, but it was closed unfortunately. The fortunate thing is, we came across Parisier, a traditional Japanese cafe serving good ole’ homely coffee set meals to locals mainly - not a lot of visitors come here probably because it’s quite far away from the main touristy areas. Parisier is run by an elderly gentleman and a sweet middle-aged lady. The elderly gentleman doesn’t understand much English, but don’t be intimidated! Parisier has an English menu, and the middle-aged lady could take your orders with limited English. Google Translate helps a lot here! Set meals are extremely tasty and affordable. For 500Y / meal, you get a well-toasted butter bread (you can request the lady to remove the butter if you prefer plain toasted bread), a hard-boiled egg, a salad and a cup of freshly-brewed coffee. The toast was quite thick and filling. We also ordered an additional hard-boiled egg but the very sweet middle-aged lady gave it to us for free! Patrons are allowed to smoke inside the cafe so please note if you’re not comfortable with that. Also, it is a cash-only facility. Highly recommended if you want to have a quick tasty breakfast in a homely setting!

This is a warm and welcoming cafe. I went alone and got the morning set which came with a salad, egg, toast, coffee and warm savoury shiso ume tea (approx. ¥400). The woman behind the counter was lovely and looked after me even with my subpar Japanese. The locals were also all extremely kind to me. As it is open early by Japan standards it is the perfect place to have a coffee and some breakfast before seeing Himeji Castle and surrounding area.

Lovely coffee and breakfast! We popped in here before a Himeji tour and loved the vibe! Our coffees came with complementary salad, toast, and hard boiled egg. It was such a cozy way to start the morning!

I stumbled upon this place while walking around town. Most places don't open until 11, but this lovely cafe was open early. I had the set menu with toast, egg, salad, coffee, and a savory shiso ume tea. It was simple, refreshing, and delicious. The inside is very peaceful, charming, and not "tourist-y" at all. It's a unique place with its own atmosphere. No one spoke English, but they were extremely friendly and understood my embarrassing Japanese. They wanted to communicate and help. The other customers were just as helpful. If I ever happen to return to Himeji, I hope to see them again.
